Winter Park's year round population is 800 and growing, and the elevatioin for the downtown area is 9,100 feet. The highest incorporated point is 12,060 feet, which is located at Winter Park Resort. Just north of Winter Park is the town of Granby, home to SolVista Ski Resort. SolVista opens for the season in mid December and is perfect for beginner and intermediate skiers and boarders.
