Salute to American Veterans Rally & Festival

And again Winter Park has been selected to host the 2009 Veterans Rally, August 14-16.  The approximately 50 foot long American flag towering over the town of Winter Park will amaze you, the 1,000+ motorcycle parade will certainly entertain you, the Veterans Wall will humble you, and the stories from Veterans will make us proud we're Americans...

Description of the Event
The event has a 16-year history and the POW/MIA Ride has a 20-year history. The first year in Winter Park & The Fraser Valley was 2007 and the event was well attended with over 10,000 participants.

Nearly 1,000 motorcycles participated in the POW/MIA ride from Granby to Winter Park. The 2008 remembrance ceremony will be held at Hideaway Park honoring past Veterans and active duty with a military parade, military guest speakers, live music and flyovers.

There will be numerous exhibitors, displays and non-profit organizations in attendance.

The Traveling Vietnam Wall is a moving tribute to our fallen brothers and sisters. It will be displayed at the Fraser Valley Sports Complex during the event weekend.

And the best part? The entire event is FREE!
