Hot Air Ballooning

Enjoy a Rocky Mountain sunrise from the air in a once in a life time treat, a Hot Air Balloon Ride! You will experience unsurpassable views of the Fraser Valley and the Continental Divide in the seemingly motionless manner of Hot Air Ballooning.

The breathtaking activity dates back to over 200 years ago in France when the first Hot Air Balloon was successfully launched (only to be destroyed at landing by farmers who thought it was a witch. I promise your landing will be different). You will start your ride with a gradual lift off and rise 1,000-3,000 feet above the Fraser Valley floor.
 

Lower level flying allows animal spotting and pine cone picking while higher altitude flying offers views up to 100 miles away. There is no way to describe the peacefulness and tranquility of ballooning besides experiencing it yourself.

Flights are approximately one hour, depending on landing site availability, wind direction, and fuel consumption. Included with each flight is the traditional champagne toast - a tradition over 200 years old - a continental breakfast, and a commemorative flight certificate.  Flights are schedule at sunrise when the atmosphere is most stable and breezes are gentle. In Winter Park we do not fly if the winds exceed 6 mph. The entire excursion is approximately three hours.
