Summers are absolutely sensational in Winter Park... why? Mostly because of the sizzling events! Between our local Winter Park/Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce, Granby Chamber of Commerce and Winter Park Resort, these organizations have brought so many events that our summer calendar for Grand County is quite full!

Here's just a few upcoming local events we want to highlight and share with you...

• August 23, 30: High Country Stampede Rodeo (Fraser Rodeo)
• August 23-24: Famous Flamethrower's High Altitude Chili Cookoff (Winter Park Resort)
• August 29-30:  Mountain States Cup #10
  
• August 30: High Altitude Battle of the Bands & Boards (Hideaway Park)
• August 30: Winter Park Mountain Bike Series Race #6 (Finale-King of the Rockies)
• August 30:  Labor Day Block Party (Cooper Creek Square)
• Daily through Labor Day & Weekends in Sept (weather dependent): Winter Park Resort summer activities open (alpine slide, scenic chairlift, mini golf, bungee jumping on trampolines, human maze, etc.)

If you love to grab a picnic and enjoy music in an outdoor setting, there are music festivals for all tastes: Blues Festival, Jazz Festival, 103.5 The Fox Hawgfest and numerous local venues playing free concerts at the local town parks.
