GUEST RATING click to view To get away from Denver and go to Winter Park was the best 2 days we have had in a couple of years. Driving up on I-70 was a nightmare as usual, highway 40 was a dream. I had forgotten how beautiful it was up there, no hustle and bustle like the 1-70 corridor is. We will surely be coming your way again after the ski season. Thank You so much. Weekend getawayWinter Park was great, but condo location not so great. Our place was on he backside, no view except for construction area, which was opperating early and all sunday morning. So no sleeping in. adequate lodgingGreat location, but Iron Horse is an older facility that needs updating. We got a pretty good deal but still paid too much for accommodations that were this disappointing, even with its "ski in/out" convenience. Beyond tired/uncomfortable furniture, a tell-tale sign is a tub that doesn't drain and therefore doesn't get clean. Nothing ickier than standing in a slimey tub in 6 inches of slow-draining shower water. Ick. Perfect for a few days away!The condo size was perfect for a couple. Decor was tasteful. The bed was actually comfortable. And the fireplace was great to relax by at the end of the day. Ski-in / ski-out was on this level - we didn't have to tote our skis all over the building. Loved having a kitchen! - It allows you to make more of your own food instead of having to eat out or just eating snack food. Staff at the resort are very kind and accommodating. We would definitely consider coming here again! If you come with your own vehicle, it might be better to take that into and back out of the town of winter park instead of riding the local shuttle. The shuttle runs on a route and can take a long time to get you back to the resort. great pool and hot tubs!The Iron Horse is right near Winter Park Village with lots to do and wonderful restaurants. The outdoor pool and hot tubs are beautiful overlooking a spring, ponds a gazebo and lots of flowers. The room was plenty big enough for my husband and I and mostly quiet. The bathroom could use a better light for those of us that use makeup but the accommadations were great. Definetely would stay here again:) GREAT! WE LOVED IT!We had a blast! Enjoy the view from this roomy 455 sq. ft. studio. This unit has a full kitchen, a gas fireplace, private patio or balcony, comfortable queen size Murphy bed, double sofa sleeper, and a full bath with separate vanity area. Watch your favorite TV shows on the 32" flastscreen TV, and be sure to bring some DVD's from home to watch as well. This unit is located next to the ski in ski out area, making this unit absolutely perfect for a quiet and romantic trip away from home!
With a slope side location and our own private ski bridge for ski-in/ski-out access, your mountain getaway just couldn't get any better than this! We are located next to and to the left of the 7-11 convenience store and gas station. Our check in location is on the first floor of the Allegiant Management office, a 3 story building with a clock on the tower.
